Mac Ritchey, the "musical Swiss Army knife," at St. John's Church

Mac Ritchey has been called by people who know him as a “musical Swiss Army knife,” referring to his ability to play a variety of traditional string instruments. He is the recipient of the 2008 Native American Music Awards: Best Instrumental Album of the Year for his full-length album Alluvia (Evren Ozan). His decades of musical involvement have been sculpted and influenced by an assortment of genres and cultures, including classical Turkish to rock, jazz to reggae, the traditional to the cutting-edge. His main focus over the past ten years is the oud, also known as the “Arabic Lute.”

He will perform Saturday, August 15 at 2PM at St. John’s Episcopal Church. For more information about Ritchey, visit www.possumhall.com.
